Kim Rogers Graves Can-Do Fund Grantees

Congratulations to the 2022-2023 Kim Rogers Graves Can-Do Fund grantees! 

Blake Simmons: Blake achieved his HiSET and was awarded funds to attend Metropolitan Community College (MCC) and work toward a bachelor’s degree in computer science. 

Brittany Miller: Brittany was awarded funds to work towards obtaining her certified nursing assistant (CNA) certification. The funds also provided scrubs and other necessary supplies. 

Denzel Haggins: Denzel is working towards his HiSET and was awarded funds to cover his forklift certification with the aim of becoming more employable. 

Jennifer Orrick: Jennifer achieved her HiSET and went on to complete Goodwill’s Bridge to Technology Program. Through her journey, she found her dental issues were a barrier in getting a job and was awarded funds to help with her dental work. 

Krystal Mclemore: Krystal achieved her HiSET and wanted to further her healthcare career in hopes of becoming a nurse. She was awarded funds to work towards obtaining her certified nursing assistant (CNA) certification. The funds helped provide scrubs and other necessary supplies. 

Lamiya Abdulkarim: Lamiya completed our certified nursing assistant (CNA) certification program in 2021. She was awarded funds to take certified medical technician (CMT) classes at Metropolitan Community College (MCC) in order to move closer to her goal of becoming a nurse. 

Noemi Barraza: Noemi is working towards her HiSET and was awarded funds to work towards obtaining her certified nursing assistant (CNA) certification. The funds helped provide scrubs and other necessary supplies. 

Willie Baskin: Willie needed to make repairs on his car so he could continue to make it to his job. The Kim Rogers Graves Can-Do Fund supplied funds for the parts and Willie completed the work himself.
