Next Steps Career Fest

We are excited to invite you to participate in Literacy KC’s 2nd annual Next Steps Career Fest on April 26, 2024 at Keystone CoLAB from 11-3pm! Literacy KC is committed to providing English Language Learners (ELL) and High School Equivalency (HSE) students with the resources they need to achieve their long-term career goals. Our career fest aims to offer high-quality education, training, and employment opportunities to support our students and the wider community.

Cornhole Tournament

Join us on April 30, 2024 from 6-9PM at KC Bier Co. for an exciting event filled with friendly competition, bier, and plenty of fun.

Not only will you have a blast playing cornhole led by the cornhole masters, KC Crew, but you’ll also be supporting Literacy KC, a non-profit organization working to help improve the lives of adult learners in the Kansas City Metro through education. Through KC Bier Co. Drink to Donate, $1 will be donated for every full bier poured, helping us make a difference in supporting our programming while you enjoy your favorite drinks.

Literacy KC Classic

Join us for the 4th Annual Literacy KC Classic on September 7th, 2024! Teams of 5 will test their skill on a mini-golf course throughout KC Live! in Kansas City’s Power & Light District. Guests will enjoy food & drinks during their round, live music, a silent auction, signature cocktails, and awards & prizes!

Get ready to boogie down at Literacy KC’s groovy Disco-themed trivia event, “Books, Brains, Bubbles, and Brews,” happening on January 23, 2025 at The Offices at Park 39 (formerly PlexPod Westport Commons) from 5-9pm! It’s not just a night of dazzling questions and brain-teasers, but an opportunity to dive into a world of literary passion, sharp minds, fizzy fun, and cool brews. Plus, don’t miss the chance to strut your stuff in our Best Themed Table Costume Contest!
