The Literacy KC Workforce Development division is comprised of workforce and college preparation, integrated education training, and workforce education. The Workforce
Development Division is committed to the holistic development of learners, providing
programs and services that empower learners to achieve their workforce educational

Mid-America Regional Council’s KC Workforce research reflects Life Science, Information Technology, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain are the top in-demand career pathways for the Kansas City region. Literacy KC’s goal is to grow the workforce development division to pilot and offer credentials in each of those areas over the next five years.

We promote student success, access, and inclusion by cultivating and leveraging
partnerships with staff, and community-based organizations as well as local, state,
